Scylla Technologies was founded in 2014 in Atlanta, Georgia, by Zack Oughriss, a telecom engineer turned tech entrepreneur with a deep belief in the transformative power of automation and AI. What began as a boutique consultancy helping businesses modernize their systems quickly evolved into a technology firm trusted by governments, healthcare providers, and enterprises alike.

Zack saw a critical gap in the market: organizations were drowning in inefficiency, siloed data, and legacy infrastructure—but most “digital transformation” efforts were expensive, slow, and misaligned with business reality. Scylla was created to change that.

After years in telecom and legal tech, Zack realized that most businesses don’t fail because of a lack of innovation—they fail because innovation doesn’t reach operations fast enough.

He set out to build a firm that could move at the speed of need: agile, secure, scalable, and human-centered. Scylla began with small automation pilots for home service companies and solo law firms, but the results were exponential—and word spread fast.

By 2017, Scylla was architecting automation systems for enterprise clients. By 2020, it was supporting municipal governments. Today, Scylla operates at the convergence of AI, cybersecurity, automation, and digital infrastructure.

The name Scylla is inspired by the legendary sea creature from Greek mythology—feared for its power, but respected for its presence.
